Plain answers
Shiva is in development, so these answers say what it does today, not what we hope it will do.
Does Shiva post by itself?
No. Every reply and every Google post waits for you. You read it, you tap Approve (or Edit, or Reject), and only then is it ready. Shiva does not have access to your Google profile, so it cannot post anything. You copy the approved text and paste it into Google yourself.
Every approval leaves a signed receipt, so you can see later who approved what and when.
सरल हिन्दी में: Shiva खुद कुछ पोस्ट नहीं करता। हर जवाब आप मंज़ूर करते हैं, फिर खुद Google में चिपकाते हैं।
What if a draft is wrong?
Plain code, not a model, checks every price, phone number, time, date and percentage against your fact sheet. If one doesn’t match, that line is marked and Approve stays off until it is fixed. If a check can’t run, Approve stays off too, and the card says “Not checked”.
You can edit any word. The same checks run again on your edit, so a wrong price you type is caught too. Or reject the draft and say why. Nothing is posted either way.
Why does it say drafting is paused?
Shiva is in development, and the part that writes drafts is not switched on yet. Your pasted reviews are saved and nothing is lost. Meanwhile you can open a review in the Inbox and write the reply yourself: Shiva runs the same checks on your words, and the approve, copy and receipt steps work as they will later.
See finished examples in the demo. Their replies were written by hand to show the screens; the checks are real.
What does signing up cost?
Nothing. You can set up a test account at no charge, and nothing is billed while Shiva is in development. There is no payment in the app and we don’t ask for card or UPI details.
The price we propose for launch is on the pricing page. It is not on sale yet.
Which languages does it write in?
English, Hindi in Devanagari, and Hinglish (Hindi in Roman letters). A reply follows the language the guest wrote in. A code check makes sure Hindi is in Devanagari and Hinglish is in Roman script. Google posts use the first language you pick in setup, and you can change your languages later under Brand.
आपके मेहमान जिस भाषा में लिखें, जवाब उसी भाषा में: अंग्रेज़ी, हिन्दी (देवनागरी) या Hinglish।
The Hindi and Hinglish examples on this site have not yet been reviewed by a native speaker.
What happens to my data?
- For a review Shiva keeps the guest’s first name only, and no phone number or e-mail.
- Receipts and logs hold ids, fingerprints and counts. They do not hold the text of your reviews or replies.
- Shiva does not train any model on your reviews or replies.
- When drafting is switched on, the review and your fact sheet are sent to the Claude model from Anthropic to write the reply. Drafting is paused at the moment, so nothing is sent today.
- The pages under “How it works” run in your browser and send nothing.
A full privacy policy, and a way to export or delete your data inside the app, are coming before launch. Until then, talk to us if you want something removed.
Can several people approve?
Not yet. In this first version there is one login per business, and that person approves. Named approvers, for example a manager and an owner, are planned.
Can I import my old reviews?
Today you paste reviews one at a time (Inbox, then “Review”), and you copy each approved reply into Google yourself. Importing many reviews at once, and connecting your Google profile so Shiva can read reviews and post, are planned. Google has to approve that access first.
Telegram approvals (approve with a tap in Telegram) are coming too. For now you approve in the app.
Can Shiva post offers for my hotel?
Hotel posts can’t mention deals or discounts under Google’s rules, so Shiva checks for that. A deal line in a hotel’s post is blocked, and in a homestay’s post it is flagged for you to look at.
